The Bald and the Beautiful

Back in may I started a project with Marta Trzeciak of callmarta Foto.  I saw something on a average google search that sparked some imagination. I wanted to display beauty very unconventionally this time,  I am usually doing this through over sized head pieces or wigs, which mean I would add or cover the models natural hair completely.  I wanted to start this time with no hair completely and build off it.  Since it is very hard these days to get a beautiful face to shave there head for the sake of one photo going into my portfolio, I had to dig into the world of SFX make up and learn to do a bald cap.   Let me tell you it wasn't easy but it is always good to learn something new, and with a little help digitally from Marta I think the girls look amazing!!!! I present to you Caroline, Lisa and |Kati!!!

A Spontaneous Robot!!!!

I was working on one of the images for a top secret collaboration with the talented Marta Trzeciak of Callmartafoto, when the model introduced me to the talented Robert Masciave, who is a UK-based french hairstylist that just blows my mind!!! After going through his portfolio, pure inspiration took place and a very last minute shoot was on the cards!!!! I contacted MUA Sara Kelly of CosmAddict Make Up who decided to make my hairstyle a robot and she double booked herself to fit me in at very last minute notice!!! So in the weeee hours of the morning the beautiful Raissa was transformed into a robot!!!  But the image does not end so easily, Marta of callmartafoto then digitally remastered the photo to the final image, it was a fantastic collaboration overall...check it out!!!!!

Another great day in Red Tree

The talented Nina Whitt contacted me about a month ago to collaborate on a shoot with herself, the beauty Spunky Gore and yet again the fabulous Maik Sinkovec.  She wanted to make Spunky into a barn owl for over a year now.  It was my second and actually last collaboration with Nina for she will be jetting off to the UK for intense training in SFX make up.  Best of luck to her in the future and here is the image from the shoot.

Birds for Birds

Following the success of the 2011 Puppy Love charity calendar
www.PuppyLove.ie, the idea was hatched to
create something similar to raise some much needed funds for Woodlands
Falconry.
“Birds for Birds” is a fundraiser in aid of Woodlands Falconry and Bird of Prey
Centre to help them continue their good work. Woodlands Falconry and Bird of Prey Centre houses a large variety of raptors, which cost over a hundred euro a week to feed and maintain. The centre is run
mainly by voluntary help and generally takes in enough profit weekly to cover
the cost of their bills and specialised raptor food, but bad weather conditions as
well as the rehabilitation work they do for wild injured Birds of Prey has drawn
heavily on available resources.
So the organizers of Birds for Birds Calender asked talented fashion photographer Maik Sinkovec to submit a month for the charity so i joined him in beautiful Co.Wicklow to provide hair for the shot.  Joined by the beautiful Maja Stina also the brains behind Burning Violet Latex Clothing the shot really came together, but you wont see it here, you will have to go out and get a copy of the calender when it hits newsstands soon...

Sara's Latex Dress designed by Burning Violet

The talented Sara Tonin designed and won a dress by Burning Violet so off to Red Tree Studio with the fabulous Maik Sinkovec behind the lens, CosmAddict Make up talented brush strokes and some fancy hair provided by your truly and I am really happy with the results...check it out

Tricia Murray

Wondered on down to Navan last week to join Marta in her studio to add another picture to our collection Everyday Women.  It was a very nice and down to earth shoot that hasn't happened for a while.  A cute natural look was done on Tricia which in my opinion complimented her nicely.  But don't you kids fret,  I went straight home to work on my next project with a new group of talented artist!  Here is the beautiful Tricia Murray

Getting Everyone Up To Speed

Well like most blogs, mine has been neglected a tad bit, but we will add this to one of the many New Years resolutions and try to keep on top of it.  Anyhow back in the beginning of November I was contacted by the lovely Lucy Rhinehart to make a wig for a new character she was creating.  And of course she was haled into the studio with the brilliant callmarta Foto to document deelicioushairart's first wig creation....check it out!!!
